Windstream Expands its ‘Kinetic’ IPTV Service

On the heels of the company’s new gigabit service launch in several markets, Windstream notes the company is now deploying IPTV service in at least one of those markets. According to a company announcement, the company is launching its new “Kinetic” IPTV platform in Sugar Land, Texas, offering users double play bundles starting at $60, and triple play bundles starting at $65. Pricing for the company’s gigabit service alone (which the company tells me has no caps) starts at $100 a month for the first three months.

More specifically, customers can bundle 25 Mbps broadband with the company’s Basic, Select, or Preferred TV packages for $60, $85, or $105 per month on promotion with a one-year contract.

Customers looking for a triple play option can bundle 25 Mbps broadband, phone service, and the company’s Basic, Select, or Preferred TV packages for $65, $90, or $110 per month on promotion with a one-year contract.

As it stands, Windstream’s gigabit service is only currently available in Lincoln, Nebraska; Lexington, Kentucky; Sugar Land, Texas and seven North Carolina communities (China Grove, Concord, Davidson, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Lewisville and Matthews).

“We continue to invest heavily in innovative technologies that allow us to offer services that meet our customers current and future needs, the company says of the new offering. With the launch of Kinetic today and the announcement of 1-Gig service last week, we re offering the Sugar Land community access to an unparalleled in-home TV and Internet experience.
